LORDI's 'Hard Rock Hallelujah' Song Gets A Makeover
April 18, 2007ESCToday.com reports that it took a year but now finally there is a version of LORDI's "Hard Rock Hallelujah" that even Finland’s schlager and light pop-oriented Radio Suomi can play.
Last spring Radio Suomi refused to play "Hard Rock Hallelujah" because it didn't fit into their profile of light pop or at middle-of-the-road light rock. Now, over a year later we have a new very smooth mambo version of it performed by NAT NEWBORN BIG TIME. Their "On the Rocks" album enters the official Finnish album chart at No. 4 this week.
The album includes covers of many Finnish pop and rock classics — from NYLON BEAT, APULANTA and the HURRIGANES, just to name a few.
